Earthquakes

Earthquakes can happen without warning. A few simple steps now can help you and your family recover faster.

Prepare for the Unexpected

San Mateo County is near the San Andreas Fault, so earthquakes are a real risk. Most quakes are small, but big ones can badly damage buildings, roads, and utilities. The 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake showed how important it is to be ready.
